And just for thought...
I leaned against the side of my car, waiting for you to say something intelligent
but it was like waiting for the sky to fall, an eternity of stupidity. Yes, that's what you give me, saturated arrogance as you threw the Frisbee down the street while balancing that beer that never seems to leave your fist. Yes, I noticed. My arms were folded across my chest, testing your ability to notice, to read body languange I gave you but all you ever seem to be aware of is above the equator but below the North Pole. Yes, you are obvious with which head you think with... I stood, waiting to see if any warmth radiated off your sweet body towards me but it was like waiting for a politician to say something worth listening to, a lifetime of absurdity. Yes, that's what you give me. You offer unsaturated adoration as you pushed your hand through your hair while drinking that bottomless beer. Yes, I'll get you another. I watched you, the way your should blades made tracks through your thin shirt and the way your thigh muscles bulged beneath those khakis, understanding my infatuation, knowing exactly why you fascinated me so, but looking at you was like resisting temptation drenched in chocolate. No, I was never any good at staying away from things that were bad for me.
