And just for thought...
You sat on the bench, stared, and drove me crazy.
I couldn't understand why you didn't just walk over here.
Behind your lap top, you peaked as I played with my daughter,
speaking about spanking naughty mosquitoes.
I saw you smile.
To be honest, I had no idea what you looked like.
Without my glasses, everything is a bit fuzzy but I saw you looking clearly enough.
You remained on that wall, supposedly preoccupied with your computer.
I heard your laughter when my daughter and I bickered like sisters.
You got up to leave, stared, and drove me crazy.
I couldn't understand why you never took your chance.
Walking by slowly, you commented on my cream cheesed faced child
but nothing more.
Clearly, this toddler is better at picking up men then me.
At the end of the day, I'm just a girl who has been in love with writing her entire life. I am full of quirks, anxieties, fears, joys, laughter. And all I have wanted to do was give the world a smile.
