And just for thought...

Gloat

The moonlight whispers insecurities in my ears.
Sunshine sets my failures on fire.
I walk down the street, marking my doomed shadow.
I see my cowardice in my baby's eyes.
How can I give her the world when mine is broken?
The air gloats with everything I am not.
Here's to my dreams that are now just stains on some bed sheet!
Here's to the laughs that faded like an old sweater.
Memories fail to regurgitate my reflection.
My cackle bares a grimace.

At the end of the day, I'm just a girl who has been in love with writing her entire life.  I am full of quirks, anxieties, fears, joys, laughter.  And all I have wanted to do was give the world a smile.
