And just for thought...
No hurries to do anything but sit at this table
and watch my girl rub cream cheese all over her face.
It's such a sweet relief to come here sometimes,
to get away from that house where control obsesses me,
to sit here with this tiny girl and not plan the next move.
Sun shining bright outside and I wish there was a way to stop time
because tomorrow I will have to go back to world I disdain
but right now?
I've got my sunshine and I won't worry about tomorrow
because it never goes away anyway.
We'll go to the park maybe next, running around like monkeys let out of a cage,
laughing and jumping to our own tribal beat.
I realize she is only who brings out the carefree part of me.
Does it matter any time else?
I've got this girl right here, my girl, and we've got this morning...
every Sunday morning.
At the end of the day, I'm just a girl who has been in love with writing her entire life. I am full of quirks, anxieties, fears, joys, laughter. And all I have wanted to do was give the world a smile.
